Celebrating the 2018/2019 Season

One of the many outreach ministries at Green Valley Community Church is our Firewood Ministry. Through donated wood and volunteers, they provide firewood to individuals and families in need who heat their homes during the cold winter months using a fireplace or wood stove.
During this past 2018-19 firewood season, which opened in November and operated through March 16th, we were blessed with an average of 14 amazing volunteers that gave their time unselfishly serving others. They not only cut the timber into manageable rounds, but also split them and loaded 83 cords of firewood into the vehicles of 132 very appreciative families.
Our community is truly blessed.
