Grief Ministry

There is no right or wrong way to grieve. When you are ready, people with similar experiences are here to help you get through it.

Memorial Services: Green Valley provides memorial services, free of charge to anyone in our community.  This includes our facility, service planning, food and resources (including a memorial card and slide show).  Services are performed on Thursdays at 1pm. We try our best to make time available for any family needing our help.

Memory Garden: The Memory Garden is a place for families to go to remember the loved one they’ve lost.  On Green Valley’s campus and open to everyone, the garden provides places to sit, pray, reflect, be still.  We pray that this garden will provide healing as families have the opportunity to order a plaque in honor of their loved one. We offer support groups, when you feel it is time, to help you get through this time.

Grief Support: After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most of the people around you return to their normal lives. But your grief continues and you feel alone. That’s the reason for GriefShare. Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives. We understand how you feel because we’ve been in the same place. We will walk with you on the long path through grief, toward healing, and hope for the future.
